NYC Flag Design Challenge
One day after school my Dad told me about Andrew Yang, a candidate running for New York City Mayor, who is holding a design challenge to update the New York City flag. I decided to compete and submitted my design which is above. I decided to represent New York City's history by making a Dutch flag with an English stripe, and two stars for the merging of New York and Brooklyn. I also added buildings at the bottom of the flag, and in the middle, the Statue of Liberty because she is an iconic symbol of freedom and immigration, which are both very important elements of New York City.
My Election Predictions 2020
The video above is an election prediction for the year 2020.
I have thought about it and I think this is the most probable way each state will go. The change I would like to see in our country as a result of this election is that more immigrants are able to come into the country because immigrants are very helpful to society. One of my favorite teachers from school and my best friend both had to leave NYC because of their immigration status. I also wish for COVID cases to go down as a result of better handling of the virus. I would also like a leader who supports the environment and believes in the Science of global warming.
